| Sirius
Plössls provide extremely sharp images of impressively high contrast. Offering a wide 50° apparent field of view (40° for the 40mm) They're ideal for all types of telescopes: reflector, refractor, and catadioptic. The Plössl 4-element is renowned for its outstanding performance, and has become the standard by which all other eyepieces are judged. The Sirius Plössl optical system is fully coated with magnesium fluoride on every air-to-glass surface. Lens edges are blackened to reduce scattering of stray light and maximize contrast. The lenses are mounted in black-anodized aluminum housings with chrome-plated brass barrels for durability and precision fit. Each barrel is internally threaded to accept standard filters. The built-in rubber eyeguards enhance viewing by helping to block out ambient light and position the eye. |

Superwides transform ordinary telescopic observing into an extra-ordinary visual adventure. Their superwide 65° apparent field of view opens up the cosmos, allowing more of its riches to be admired at one time. Sophisticated eight-element, multi-coated lens assembly endows each Superwide eyepiece with an amazing 20mm of eye relief—enough for eyeglass wearers to enjoy the full field of view. A single rare-earth Lanthanum lens element has been incorporated to provide superior image correction. Other nice features include a rubber traction ring, a captive setscrew recess in the 1.25" barrel, color banding for easier identification, and a soft eyeguard.
